Arithmetic, not advice

This site publishes how cost mechanisms work on published rates. It does not recommend a platform, a trade, or a direction.

This site publishes fee arithmetic.

It does not tell you what to trade, whether to trade, or which platform to use.

If you are looking for a recommendation, there is not one here and that is intentional.

Not advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. The content is arithmetic applied to published rates. What you do with it is your decision and your risk.

Where a page describes a strategy or an order type, it is describing how a cost mechanism works. It is not a suggestion that you use it.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every figure is captured from a source and dated. Beyond that, no warranty is given:

  1. Rates change. A figure accurate at capture may be wrong when you read it. The timestamp is the only guarantee, and it is a guarantee about the past.
  2. Tiers differ. Published base rates are not your rate. Only your own account shows what you pay.
  3. Local rules differ. Availability and conditions vary by jurisdiction and change.
  4. Arithmetic is illustrative. Worked examples hold inputs constant; real funding rates do not.

Risk

Trading digital assets involves substantial risk, including the loss of all funds. Leveraged products can be liquidated, which means losing the position entirely. Perpetual contracts charge funding that accrues whether or not the position is profitable.

Past performance of any kind — including an example showing one order type costing less than another — does not indicate future results. An example is a calculation, not an outcome.

The examples on this site show what a cost mechanism does to a number. They do not show what will happen to your money.

What a worked example here actually claims

Every cost example on this site uses the same shape, so it is worth being precise about what it asserts and what it leaves out:

Worked examples are arithmetic demonstrations. They are not backtests, and they are not forecasts.
The example fixesValue usedThe example assumes
Notional$100,000.00One entry order and one exit order at the same size
Fee tierBase rate, 0.0750% takerThat you are not on a discounted tier — most accounts are, eventually
Funding0.00510% per 8h, held constantThat the rate does not change at the next settlement, which it does
Price path—Nothing. No example here predicts or assumes a direction

Two consequences follow. First, a real account will see a different total, usually smaller, because tiers and maker fills move the number in your favour. Second, the ordering of costs is stable even when the totals are not: on any account size, the round-trip fee is larger than a single day of funding, and financing dominates over weeks.

If an example ever contradicts that ordering, the example is wrong, not the ordering.

Third parties

This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Gate.com, MEXC, or any other platform mentioned. Names are used descriptively.

Links to third-party sites are provided for reference. This site does not control those sites, is not responsible for their content, and their terms and policies apply once you leave.

Where this site does not apply

The rules that govern crypto trading differ enough between jurisdictions that a single global site cannot speak to all of them, and this one does not try. Two examples of how far apart the positions are:

  1. Leveraged retail crypto is restricted in some markets. The UK regulator's regime, linked below, treats these products as unsuitable for retail sale under promotion rules. A page here explaining how funding works is not a workaround for that.
  2. Referral marketing carries its own rules. Some jurisdictions require financial promotions to be approved by an authorised person. This site is not authorised, and its disclosure page says so rather than implying approval.
  3. Tax treatment is out of scope entirely. Nothing here calculates, estimates, or advises on tax on trading gains in any country.

The practical consequence for a reader: the arithmetic on this site travels well, and the regulatory position does not. If you are unsure whether a product is available to you, the platform's own agreement is the document that decides it — not a referral link and not this page.
