Most editorial policies list what a site promises to do.
That is easy to write and impossible to check.
This one lists what it will not do, because a refusal can be tested: you can look for it and see whether it happened.
What this site will not do
- Publish a ranking. No “best exchange” list, no score out of five, no numbered order of preference.
- Publish a rate without a date. If a number appears here, it has a capture time and it can be re-run.
- Fill a missing figure with an estimate. Missing cells are marked missing.
- Predict prices. Nothing on this site forecasts, targets, or calls a direction.
- Pay for placement. Commissions do not influence whether a platform appears, or what is written about it.
Each of those is falsifiable. Look for a ranking and see whether one exists. Look for an undated number. Look for a filled-in estimate. If you find one, it is an error worth reporting.
The one thing that is never fabricated
Numbers. Not under time pressure, not to make a page look complete, not because a comparison reads better with six rows instead of two.
Where a figure could not be obtained, the page shows a dash and states why. That is deliberately less satisfying to read than a full table, and it is the reason the rest of the table can be trusted.
Three tests you can run on any fee article
This policy would be worth nothing if it only applied inward. The same three tests work on any page about trading costs, including the ones that outrank this site:
| Test | Passes if | Fails if |
|---|---|---|
| Is the rate dated? | A capture time and a source are named | “currently”, “as of writing”, no source |
| Is the comparison like-for-like? | Same product, same side, same tier basis | Spot rate against futures rate, or maker against taker |
| Is the missing row shown? | The exchange is listed as unreadable, or omitted with a reason | Six exchanges, six rows, no gaps and no method |
None of the three requires trusting the author. They are checks on the artifact, not on the person, which is the only kind that survives an incentive to sell you something.
What this policy covers, and what it does not
It covers the figures, the comparisons, and the absences. It does not cover whether the product is suitable for you, and it does not cover what happens inside an exchange account after registration — order routing, tier assignment and dispute handling are the platform's decisions, not this site's.
Where a page describes platform behaviour rather than a captured number — what a withdrawal status means, why a verification gets rejected — the text says so. Behaviour can be described accurately and still be wrong next month, and a reader deserves to know which of the two kinds of claim they are reading.

Corrections
Errors are corrected in place and the update date moves. Nothing is silently deleted: a correction says what changed, because a figure that quietly becomes a different figure is worse than an obvious error.
If a number here disagrees with the exchange's own page, that is a correction worth sending, with the page and the source. Contact details are on the about page.
On how this is written
Some of the drafting on this site is done with software assistance, and the arithmetic is not. Every figure is either read from an API or calculated from figures read from an API, and either way it can be reproduced by a reader. If a sentence and a number conflict, the number is the one that gets checked first.
